Avalon Park is one of the oldest parks in the District and is in need of an upgrade. Currently, the park features two baseball/softball fields, a small community center, Wanamaker Gym, parking, and a tot lot. The Board of Directors has earmarked approximately $6,000,000 in improvements for Avalon Park. These funds are from the new development planned in the area, including Emerald Ridge North and South, as well as the Agua Mansa Industrial Buildings.
